Yeah, I made a grammatical error. I wrote "as" instead of "is".

Im sure this wasnt in there originally
"filmmaking is BOTH an art and a science!"

to which case fair enough as you then go onto say in your eyes its more science, and you are entitled to your own opinion you can thank us later.

What am I supposed to thank anyone for?

if "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life" then watching a film, you are watching art (assuming it was a film that dusted your soul)

FILM IS ART,

How can you say:
"because with film , you don't have a choice of what you see The decision has been made for you by the director."
Please- why do you think there are so many different opinions about movies. UHM-MAYBE,b/c
the brain watching it processes what it sees differently than the brain sitting beside it!

My fine art professor would be rolling right now-
Art is limitless- it's subjective- it's contrasting- it's different to every soul!!!

Chim-chim-chreee!!!

P.s.
I did make a sculpture with Celluloid once, and I some folks did like it.

I'm really confused now. But that's a lovely sentiment.

Chance -- you're paranoid.

I don't have to impress you.

See, I edited this post as well because I forgot to start a sentence with a capital letter. Man!

FILM IS NOT ART

Spunkey, take the shot of the nuns walking into the church in my trailer, I have decided for you how long you see the nuns walk in, what angle you see it from, how much of the picture you see and how you see it. I use some daunting music and a voice over as devices to create some grandeur to it. In the spiel for my film it says Mary Runs away and joins a convent, and there we are seeing Mary joining a convent.

Tis is not art.
